Step 1
Inspect inbound BL document
Take a photo or make note of the documents details and add any comments if necessary.
Step 2
Record container number
This number is typically a combination of letters and digits so make sure you get it right!
Step 3
Record seal number
Check that the seal number matches the one recorded in the shipment document for security measures.
Step 4
Take photos of cargo upon opening doors
Ensure there is good lightning and take overview photos along with close-ups of individual items or pallets.
Step 5
Record container condition
Make note of the type of container, if the seal is intact, whether there is any damage and the tare of the container.
Step 6
Take a photo of the cargo document
Take a photo of the signed cargo document.
Step 7
Take photos of empty container
Stand back and take a clear photo of the inside of the container.
